AgLAM

The Agriculture Laboratory Association of Malaysia (AgLAM) was inaugurated on 28 May 2007. It was formerly known as Committee on Standardization of Soil, Plant and Fertilizer Analysis and it has a long history in organizing proficiency testing programmes on soil, plant and fertilizer analysis with the original aim of improving laboratory testing accuracy and ensuring standardized analytical methods among participating laboratories in Malaysia. This has been achieved and recent efforts were centred on new improved analytical techniques and methods that could be automated resulting in improved speed, accuracy and more environmental friendly.

Objective

The general objectives of the association shall be:

  1. To organize proficiency testing programmes of agriculture and related testing with the aim to improve laboratory performance.
  2. To function as a forum to promote good laboratory practices (GLP) through laboratory accreditation of ISO/IEC 17025.
  3. To review and update on the latest development in the analytical technique of agricultural testing in line with good agricultural practices (GAP).
